Helping Others

Cornerstone UMC has been called to serve the less fortunate in our community. We believe in Jesus' words and actions of service to our fellow man. Cornerstone donates food and labor each quarter by feeding more than 200 members of St. Mark's homeless population each quarter. Our church also prepares and serves meals at the Ozanam Inn several times a year.

We serve at the Thomas Lafon Senior Nursing Home during Christmas time and have a partnership with Fannie C. Williams Middle School in New Orleans East. Each year Cornerstone funds a Back-To-School supply drive and bookbag giveaway for needy families.

We also have a fund established for people who come to the church in need after hardships and emergencies.

If the Spirit is leading you to serve, please join us at Cornerstone as we put God's words in action to help impact the community.

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Mark 10:45
